This transformer is well constructed, and fun to assemble and disassemble. I bought it for my son as a Christmas present, and he loves playing with it. As others have commented, it is made of a durable plastic (almost feels like metal), and is very detailed. The first time we transformed it, it took a bit of practice, but after doing it a few times, it got quite a bit easier.
